One-day trip to CHORNOBYL –
visit the site of the worst environmental disaster in history
Chernobyl
The Chernobyl zone is a closed zone in radius of 30 km from Chernobyl station. There are a lot of green parks and lawns, but it's sad to realize that children don't play there any more. Entrance to this zone is possible only with the help of permits, which we receive for our tourists in the Ministry of Nuclear Industry.
In the territory tourists who arrive to Chernobyl examine fire department and the monument to fire men who were engaged in fire extinguishing on 4thblock CHAES. After that tourists will see construction blocks for the burial place of nuclear waste (by the way, they were built by a French building company). After that tourists go to a museum of Chernobyl tragedy and have opportunity to be photographed against background of the 4th reactor on a small distance. The Chernobyl accident happened exactly on this reactor and now it is closed by a sarcophagus.
This trip is interesting for its true telling how everything was indeed. The facts about this accident shock every person who visits this "exclusion zone".
The tourists will also hear about city Pripyat which has been left by inhabitants (51000 persons) within 1 day. Now the city is fenced and is under protection. There are obvious mutations of animals and flora in the zone. It is a lot of birds and animals have found a refuge in this zone, which is closed for hunters.

Departure from Kyiv. Ride northwards to the border of the “exclusion zone”. The area is 214 km in perimeter.

Passing of the checkpoint “Dytyatky” on the border of 30-km zone (estrangement zone and compulsory resettlement). Enter the “exclusion zone”.

Arrival in Chornobyl. A briefing with the leadership of the State Department – Administration of the estrangement zone. During a conversation you will get some idea about the estrangement zone and Chornobyl Nuclear Power Station, have acquaintance with the main types of the works and projects which are conducted in the estrangement zone by the scientists, specialists of Ukraine and foreign countries.

Trip to 10-km zone. Visit to the site of Chornobyl Nuclear Power Station – an enterprise where more than 5000 staff was employed. External examination of the object “Sarcophagus”- concrete and steel shelter which covered radioactive masses and debris left after the explosion, visiting of the review pavilion, the possibility to see the natural growth survived after the accident – so-called “red forest”, and also the burial village. Acquaintance with the peace and quiet of the ghost town Prypyat’ all 47.500 inhabitants of which had to leave their homes the next day after the accident. Examination of the abandoned apartment blocks, schools, hotels, kinder gardens.
